Ibogaine for TBI and PTSD

Exploring the Therapeutic Potential of Ibogaine for PTSD and TBI


Description:

We have completed data collection for a pioneering research study aimed at uncovering the promising therapeutic applications of Ibogaine for individuals suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms.

The Challenge:

Both PTSD and TBI are independently complex, often debilitating conditions that can significantly affect a person’s quality of life. When PTSD and TBI appear together, symptoms can be exacerbated, creating a complicated combined presentation that is not easily treatable. As such, traditional treatment approaches, while valuable, may not always provide the desired relief or long-term recovery.

Our Study:

In recent years, anecdotal reports have been received on the potential healing properties of Ibogaine, a naturally occurring psychoactive substance found in the root bark of the African iboga plant. To test these claims, we have conducted an observational study with US Special Operations Forces (SOF) Veterans.
